Summary: This idea addresses the challenge of manually adding calendar events by offering a Chrome/Mac add-on that allows users to easily convert selected text from any website into Google Calendar events with the help of a simple LLM. The streamlined process enhances efficiency by enabling one-click event creation, allowing users to customize details while seamlessly integrating with their calendars.
I need a powerful chrome/mac addon that can take any selection of text (from say a website online), and parse it (possibly via a simple LLM) to add a gcal event to my calendar. I could give it access to my calendar. Then when I select any text on any website, right click and choose a “convert to gcal event”, an LLM converts it to the format required in an iCal (and also has a short text box in case I want to add more instructions like a description or location etc) and add events in one click. There could be custom settings like “add to calendar X” or it could prompt you to add details etc. $10 lifetime access.

I thought of this idea because adding events on google calendar takes me way more time than it needs to.
